Python 2.7 through IIS and wfascgi

0

I am creating a py app I need to run from a web server managed through IIS. I have installed Python 2.7 and wfastcgi, but as soon as I try to run the python app i get "500 Internal Server Error".

The module mappings are:

Request path:
*.py

Module:
FastCgiModule

Executable:
"c:program filespython27python.exe"|"c:program filespython27libsite-packageswfastcgi.pyc"

Name:
Python27

I am not using Flask, since the app will just be running backend using pymodbus – so the code for testing I am using is:

print('Content-Type: text/plain')
print('')
print('Hello, world!')

In most examples there must be a "WSGI_HANDLER", but using the HelloWorld.app as WSGI handler in the web.config does not work.

I am a bit clueless and have read through dozens of tutorials, but most apps are using Django or Flask to get the app running – how do I deploy my script without these packages?
