Register time, date and e-mailadress of download in a database?
Hello good friends of the internet.
I have a client that wants to share PDFs on their wordpress website and keep track of who have dowloaded a specific quotation. The guy who initiated the request have now quit but they still want it and asked if I could possibly help them out. I promised I'll ask around atleast. :)
So, the situation:
As of today they send out a link www.domain.com/quotation/project-name and their clients dowload a PDF from there. Simple enough.
But instead they want to manually send a link with their clients specific e-mail adress www.domain.com/quotation/?email=name@domain.com, once clicked they want you to end up on a simple landing page with a dowload button for the specific quotation, and if you download the PDF they want to register time, date and e-mailadress in a simple database. The PDFs are uploaded trough FPT on their end btw.
Any idea how one should approach this, or possibly point me in the right direction?
