IOS 12 Notification Group layout in Android
I want to make a component that will be like the IOS 12 notification group with collapsing and expanding animation.
My idea was to use a recyclerview with a custom layout manager. What I did so far was to extend LinearLayoutManager
and have a state
. The state
can be either expanded
or collapsed
. When the state is collapsed, I use my own function to fill the screen with the views and when the views will go from collapsed to expanded, I let LinearLayoutManager
handle filling the screen with the views.
The only problem I'm facing at the moment is to do the animation.
The uploaded file shows what I have so far.
Is it right what I did concerning a custom layout manager or there is a simpler solution to this problem?
If I'm heading in the right direction, how would I go about doing the animation I mentioned earlier?
Thanks in advance for the replies.
