Mac - System takes up to 50 GB of storage [closed]

I have a mac and since I updated it to High Sierra, I noticed that my system takes up more and more space. enter image description here

What I've found out so far is that there's usually a problem with time machine, but I've never used it and there was no other suggestion how to solve it.
