Subscribe to all events from the aggregate

1

I'm using Cirqus (https://github.com/d60/Cirqus) framework for a CQRS/Event Sourced application

In all of my implementations of IViewInstance I would like to update a LastChange (DateTime) property when each event is received. At the moment I have to update this property on each IViewInstance by handling it for each and all the events as follows:

public void Handle(IViewContext context, MyEvent e) {
LastChange = DateTime.Parse(e.Meta["time_utc"]);
//...other code
}

But this troublesome since I have to repeat this for all the event handlers on each IViewInstance, plus if I forget then the LastChange property will be wrong. There is other data that I might also want to persist to the IViewInstance from the events metadata like the userId, etc

Is there a way to update this LastChange property without having to repeat this code in all the event handlers?

I'm thinking whether there is a way to subscribe to any and all events via a 'global' event handler from the aggregate (like this DomainEvent)

like this:

public class MyAggregateView : IViewInstance<InstancePerAggregateRootLocator>,
ISubscribeTo<DomainEvent<MyAggregate> {

//etc...

Then implement the 'global' event handler as follows:

public void Handle(IViewContext context, DomainEvent<MyAggregate> e)
=> LastChange = DateTime.Parse(e.Meta["time_utc"]);

Alternatively, I could add a property to the IViewInstance and then populate it myself (similar to how the LastGlobalSequenceNumber property is updated), but then I would need to modify the cirqus internals
