How do I make an image slider in java which retrieves an image from a database and slides one by one? For a better understanding, I've added an image from the application.
enter image description here
private void jButton1ActionPerformed(java.awt.event.ActionEvent evt) {
try {
String sql ="select * from images";
pst=conn.prepareStatement(sql);
rs=pst.executeQuery();
if(rs.next()){
byte imagedata = rs.getBytes("image");
format = new ImageIcon(imagedata);
imageShowIcon.setIcon(format);
}
} catch (SQLException ex) {
System.out.println(ex +"select error");
}
}

Hi @Mirwais. Welcome to StackOverflow. The question you have asked is quite broad. Can you share what you have tried? It looks like an Applet based system.

1)if(rs.next()){ .. imageShowIcon.setIcon(format);
This code will only result in the last image of the result set being shown. The code needs to do one of a variety of ways of handling multiple images, like keeping a reference to an array or list of images to be shown in a single label, or putting each of the images as elements of a scroll pane. 2)} catch (SQLException ex) { System.out.println(ex +"select error"); }
change that to addex.printStackTrace();
which provides more information with less typing than theprintln
statement..
