School and college[edit]
Blab attended Effingham High School in Illinois, which won second place in the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) State Basketball tournament in 1980. He played college basketball for the Indiana University Hoosiers,[1] averaging 16 points per game in his senior season. He helped IU win the Big Ten championship in 1983 and then advance to the NCAA Tournament's "Elite Eight" the following season.
NBA[edit]
Drafted seventeenth overall by the Dallas Mavericks in the 1985 NBA Draft,[2] he never proved to be a significant contributor. His first four seasons were with the Mavericks, and he played for both the Golden State Warriors[3] and the San Antonio Spurs in his final year.[4] He finished with NBA career averages of 2.1 points and 1.8 rebounds per game at the center position.
