Reading customProperties from com.monitorjbl.xlsx.impl.StreamingWorkbook
I have the below code from adding custom metadata to a excel file.
//XSSFWorkbook workbook = new XSSFWorkbook();
SXSSFWorkbook workbook = new SXSSFWorkbook(100);
log.info("Setting the Metadat Parameter Start ");
POIXMLProperties props = workbook.getXSSFWorkbook().getProperties();
POIXMLProperties.CustomProperties custProp = props.getCustomProperties();
custProp.addProperty("Variable1", "2001");
While Reading the excel I am using StreamingWorkbook reading the excel as below -
workbook = StreamingReader.builder().rowCacheSize(100).bufferSize(4096).open(newInputStream);
But I am not able to metadata from this workbook. It does not have a option to read custom properties.
I tried typecasting it to XSSFWorkbook. But its giving Cast Exception.
Need some help reading the custom properties from StreamingWorkbook
The below code I use for getting the property but its throwing castException.
XSSFWorkbook readMetadata = (XSSFWorkbook)workbook;
POIXMLProperties props = readMetadata.getProperties();
POIXMLProperties.CustomProperties custProp = props.getCustomProperties();
CTProperty ratePlanID = custProp.getProperty("variable1");

XSSFWorkbook supports most of the features in xlsx. It uses more memory because all the xlsx data is held in memory. StreamingWorkbook supports some features of xlsx but uses less memory because it streams the input data. I would suggest that you use XSSFWorkbook and increase your JVM memory if necessary.
