jQuery object not available with Webpack

0

I have a project that is build with Webpack, using the Buffalo framework for Go (I mention this only because that should explain why Webpack is set up the way that it is).

I have set up my application.js (the JavaScript file that I am creating) as such:

require("expose-loader?$!expose-loader?jQuery!jquery");
require("bootstrap/dist/js/bootstrap.bundle.js");
var dp = require('bootstrap-datepicker');

$(document).ready( function () {
// https://bootstrap-datepicker.readthedocs.io/en/stable/index.html
$('.datepicker').datepicker()
} );

However, this results in me getting a $(...).datepicker is not a function error when loading the page.

It seems as if the jQuery object is not importing datepicker properly?
