The Off-Campus Login service allows students, faculty, and staff of the University of Louisville to access the University Libraries' subscriptions to electronic journals and databases from off campus. Use your ULink ID and password to login (enter your credentials directly in the box on the left or Login with Shibboleth

  1. What is Shibboleth?


    Shibboleth is an open-source project. With Single Sign-On (SSO) capabilities, Shibboleth provides a more secured way to allow individuals to access protected online resources. Shibboleth has been applied to all the new Web-based application servers that need to use UofL authentication.




  2. My ULink ID and password aren't working. What do I do?


    Try logging in directly to ULink.

    • If your ID and password are working in ULink but not into the Off-Campus Login service, you can

      • Call the IT Help Desk at (502)852-7997 to check if your account is in "active status" for proxy server.

        OR


      • Send an email to the Office of Libraries Technology indicating that you can login to ULink but not into the Off-Campus Login service.



    • If your login is not working in ULink, contact the IT Help Desk at (502)852-7997.







  3. I'm not a student or employee of UofL. Can I use the databases?



    • You can use the libraries' databases by visiting one of our libraries; however, most of our subscription database contracts require that off-campus access be limited to our current students, staff and faculty.


    • Kentucky residents: You may check with your local libray or visit Kentucky Virtual Library's website for some subscription databases

  4. The database I want to use isn't working. What can I do?
